Hello,
I'm considering getting ll done on me to reach my ideal height.
However, I am only 1" short of it. I would like to know from anyone around here
who has had LL, who would be the best doctor and how long would it take?
I'm 6'1-6'1.5" and would like to be 6'2-6'3".
Quote from: Wannabegiant on August 31, 2014, 12:27:32 AMSure if you want to do it then external tibias would be the cheapest option and would give you a good chance of full recovery.
But i can confidently say that such a small difference at the height you are already at, would give you little to no benefit in terms of how people percieve you. But of course this surgery should primarily be done to be pleased with one self so yeah go for it if you really want it.
2" probably wouldn't either but it's the standard. I think 3" or more would but the bright side is that I could go and move on with my life sooner and probably cheaper. I just heard that anything more than 6'2" would diminish returns from women but what do I know?
Quote from: exclide on August 31, 2014, 01:24:00 AMI suggest investing in a psychiatrist. Antidepressants should be able to cure your 'problem' just fine, they'd cost less and they're less dangerous and it also doesn't hurt, when you take them.
Psychiatrists do not help patients they worsen them. I'd be better off doing nothing if that be the case.
I honestly think that wanting to be taller at 6'0"or 6'1" is understandable. It's extremely common to see people taller than you at those heights. I see far too many men that tower over me in my day to day life. But lifts will cause back trouble so it's probably better to wear elevator shoes. They're are people on the old forum old forum (which I also believe to be corrupt) that are 6'0" + getting ll.
To be honest, I wouldn't care if I saw someone taller than me at 6'2". I see 6'0-6'2" very frequently amongst caucasian males. I know 6'3" and 6'4" isn't rare however, it's significantly less common than 6'0"-6'2". I'll probably ll to 6'3" and wear really thin shoes to appear 6'2!
Quote from: Polycrates. on August 31, 2014, 07:09:25 AMIf money were not a factor and I was offered the opportunity of Precise with a competent surgeon, I'd do another 7cm on femurs in a heartbeat. It's naive and ignorant to say there's no benefit from jumping up to 6'2 from 6'0.
It's easy to feel the will to do it, but once you've endured it once then that image, though it does diminish with time, acts a reminder how arduous and risky this whole thing is. It's something that needs to consume you on a daily basis to actually commit to it.
I didn't say that there's no benefit. I just say that a 6'2" doesn't tower over a solid 6 footer.
Quote from: Polycrates. on August 31, 2014, 08:26:40 AMDidn't say it was you who was saying that. The consensus on here seems as soon as you hit the magical 6ft mark, then no matter what, if you even dare to think about height for even a moment, then you are mentally ill. Just because someone is that height doesn't mean they never get towered or feel the height difference to others. Being 5'9 and feeling short to a 5'11 is the same case as a 6'0 to a 6'2. Only thing I suggested to you was to do more than 2.5cm, or else the time and pain will not be worth it.
I'm probably gonna do 2" realistically. All though 6'3" isn't my dream height, it would probably give me my money's worth and I'll probably shrink an inch in my early to late 50s. I just thought I'd ask for 1" because recovery time would be halved (2-3 months till I can go home as opposed to 4-6 months from 2-3") and I could move on with my life at my dream height of 6'2"-6'2.5" but I didn't think my question would anger people on this site.
Quote from: 182.5cm on August 31, 2014, 10:18:37 AMi would love to be your height op, i think that if i was 185 cm at night, i would not be writtng this message but i understand why you want to be taller, the average height for young caucasian males is 180 cm, which means 185 cm is not really tall, but it's above average.
My goal height is near your dream height.
My height varies. The highest it's been is 187cm(6'1.5-75.") and the lowest it's been is 6'1" solid. I have been measured as 6'1 1/8 but the doctor rounded down to 6'1" or sometimes 6'1.25". Average height for caucasian male is 5'10.5" in USA and African American is 5'10" solid.
Quote from: exclide on August 31, 2014, 09:19:32 AMI bet 100 USD you aren't gonna do the surgery ever, but are here just to troll and mess around with people, same with every other above average or tall retard on this site.
I will when I finish college. Honestly, there's no way you can pay for this surgery on a minimum wage job. Well I guess it is possible but saving enough could take years for it to happen. I could probably go to Dr Salameh next year if he transfers back to Syria where it is 15000-20000
USD.
Quote from: RGKEY on August 31, 2014, 11:03:11 PMinteresting! 1 inch gain hmmm
Just keep in mind the pain, complications scars and time which in this case could be 3 4 months.
how old are you by the way?
I'm 28 almost. I know the time and pain could be shorter and possibly cheaper. I may do 1.5" for collateral but still may do 2". But it'd probably take 3 months at most for 1". There is no pill or ritual that makes you grow unfortunately so a short term ll would be the only option.
Quote from: Hallijah on September 01, 2014, 12:07:50 AMdo 4 cm, doing 4 cm will probably still keep your tibia shorter than your femur
Hmm maybe you have a point. At 4 cm would put me at an inch and a half and I could still say 6'2" since you generally omit the half inch and round down when your a height plus a half inch.
Quote from: RGKEY on September 01, 2014, 01:32:04 PMi think u should do it bro, it's probably better than the other alternatives
I think you should do it not because of the results, but it will definitely teach you a lesson of life and you will might grow as a person. You will realize by your self if one inch in stature gain was worth the effort.
SO YES DO IT MY FRIEND, go for it.
sometimes we need to learn the hard way
Thanks, I'll consider that.
Quote from: Hallijah on September 01, 2014, 06:56:06 PMone doctor said that everything can happen, even death on the operating table, I mean at 6'1 at your lowest you already have a perfectly healthy life,I can't see any other reasons except luxury of being your dream height which is hard to understand cause u're 6'1 at your lowest
I don't think anyone has died so that probably won't happen. I hate 6'1" to be honest. I'd rather be 6'5" or 6'6" than 6'1" but ideally anything from 6'2"-6'4" is ideal for me.
Quote from: G-Man on September 01, 2014, 08:27:57 PMSeeing constantly all the aggressivity and barking towards taller members, I think this forum should be renamed "LL Forum for 5'9" and under, all the others gtf out."
I think that too actually. At least old forum allows anyone any height to get lengthening.
