I am considering using cannabis during the process to relieve the pain, can it harm the process?

Cannabis is probably the best painkiller for LL
Not only will the pain disappear, you won't even feel the fixator (LON femur in my case)

I took edibles to help with sleep. Didn't really have that much regular pain so I didn't need it for pain, but I'm sure it would have helped. It's legal where I live though.

Smoking during LL is not good but if edible or cbd better option

The only responsible advice anyone here could give is to ask your doctor. Even though it’s just cannabis, with a surgery like this make sure you discuss everything with your doctor. Don’t self medicate unless it’s approved.
