with precice the rule is that the nail must be removed (compulsory) after 2-3 years because it has magnets and can cause serious health problems (no one knows what might happen if magnet leaks)

in my country precise is not approved

so my options are:
1. LON in my country
2. Precice abroad (greece or Germany)
3. Guichet nail or Betz Bone in Greece or Germany

If I get Precice abroad and come back, can any local surgeon remove it or does it requite special equipments from Nuvasive or Globus medicals?

I talked to Becker and he said Betz Bone is safe and does not need removal and even if required any surgeon anywhere can remove it.

what should I do? I do not want to assume I will be able to travel abroad again for nail removal for several reasons. I have a weak passport and my country nationals get denied entry to Europe oftentimes. I do not want some foreign hardware stuck in my body that is leaking magnetic material and no one in my country can remove it.

does any body know if precise rods can be remove d by any surgeon without Nuvasive or Globus equipment?

This is the first time I’ve heard that magnetic nails can seriously affect health. If Betz Bone is safe and removable anywhere, maybe it’s the better option for your situation.

Do you have any reconstruction doctors in your country? They may not advertise limb lengthening but may have some idea about precice nails from their time in medical school. Couldn't hurt to email to ask.
