Consolidation Rate for Femur

Hi,

I'm new to this forum far as posting goes.
I was told before the consolidation rate for femurs was 2-2.5 mos per cm lengthened.
That didn't sound right to me so I wanted to double check with veteran LLers what the rate would be if I were to do 6.5cm.

So 30 days of consolidation for 8cm? Hmm... how long will you have to leave your internal rod in for before it can be taken out? Thanks for your response.
