Is the deep vein thrombosis caused due to the initial operation of breaking the bones and inserting the nails or is it caused due to the lengthening also?
How many months after the initial operation can deep veins thrombosis be caused? My doctor has told to me 1 month. But Erkan got it after 2 months and his doctor asked to him to pause lengthening. But I am not sure how the lengthening will worse the deep vein thrombosis. Is it related to the lengthening or the intiial operation?

hello Serilium,
yes this is what my doctor told me. he said this is the same risk as with the fracture or trauma operation. The big unanswered question is whether the deep veins thrombosis is worsed by the lengthening or not. because Erkan's experienced doctor told to him to pause the lengthening until the deep veins thrombosis is fixed.

just my opinion though
hello Serilium,
you are correct here I think. The DVT is already risky for the health and the lengthening would only weaken the body even more.
however I am trying to check if the lengthening itself will directly increase the risk of pulmonary embolism or further more blood clots

The final question remains: does the lengthening worse the blood clots or is it just not the recommendation to continue the lengthening because it adds more stress to the body?
