hello y’all, was curious if anyone had improvement in their lower extremity numbness with use of gabapentin or is it mainly more of burning/tingling treatment? I have weird numbness in left shin only when prolong extension for 20+ minutes sometimes knee pain will occur if longer

Ive used gabapentin before but not for LL nerve pain. It helped me with nerve pain/discomfort but not with numbness.

Gabapentin/Pregabilin is mainly for nerve pain - it doesnt do much for the numbness. It will improve over time once you finish clicking/lengthening. Knee pain is common and will also improve.

It’s gotten so bad to the point where straightening my leg for a few mins causes the numbness most likely saphernous nerve compression, can’t do some PT exercises bc of this. Wondering if this will go away

Can you give a bit more context ? how much have you lengethened so far ? Tibias or Femurs ? How many clicks per day? Shin numbness is almost a given with Tibias - it's severe in the beginning but gets better over time. If it is just numbness without any pain, it shouldn't prevent you from doing PT. Did your physio show you exercises for nerve flossing ? It gives temporary relief.
I've had some severe episode of nerve pain, but it typically it always subsides in a few days.

Femurs, 37 mm, burning numbness with tingling on the inside portion of the shin. Been like 3 weeks that numbness present but now burning is here

It's a bit difficult question but may I ask if you were taking gabapentin to, or also to, depressive symptomatic treatment due to height neurosis?
It's not a standard indication but gabapentin is sometimes used as a "mood stabilizer" concomitant or not with anti depressants and be therefore used in some cases of "real/realistic" height neurosis (which of course I don't know if you have) in short people (I don’t know how tall you are), or in cases of depressive height dysphoria, defined as a distortion in self height perception or exaggerated importance given to it in face of general population values (people really not technically "short", within only one standard deviation below average or taller than that).
