Dear Ronman,

I am a limb lengthening orthopedic surgeon. If you are happy with your height, femoral lengthening will have no benefits.

How did you derive your femur and tibia lengths? did you get calibrated xrays?

Proportions are no related to arthritis, pain, or future health issues.

Also, your limb alignment seems fine.

In a nutshell: don’t worry about it Have a very short Femur. Would LL actually be better for my health?

Thank you for your reply Doctor.

The measurements I took for Tibia and Femur were very rough. I just measured it myself with a tape measure.

Certainly I don't feel like it's anything abnormal.

Thanks for the info regarding proportions and arthritis.

I have a bit of a stomach so I usually wear pants and underpants below it.

Stop asking irrelevant questions in threads, make your own. It's annoying.

You mean average height or average proportions? Or both

You look about like me.  Not ideal but not a problem either.

I don't think that's what's causing your knee pain when you exercise.  Extremely long femurs make doing squats a very different experience, but I can't think of exercises where tibia length matters since they don't affect ergonomics much.
