You'd be too short to whisper in anyone's ear after they've done LL lmao.
Also Italian's aren't even short , they're within the average height for Caucasians so between 5' 8" to 5 ' 10"

Quote from: dreamingtall on October 20, 2019, 04:46:52 PMI've read as I'm sure some of you have that those seeking LL are fairly practical and smart individuals who are motivated and skewed towards good looking...

You know the funny thing in life is the people that question why anyone would have this surgery? I think the people who question it are both softies and ignorant to their own subconscious bias and those of others. I mean literally just ask tall people if they tend to take shorter people less seriously and 8/10 they will chuckle if the environment allows for it. There is nothing 'grotesque' about getting this surgery. The people on this website are not necessarily geniuses, but they're smart enough to understand the world around them and the inherent benefits of being taller. And the reason why anyone dealing with height dysphoria should get this surgery is because it doesn't appear to ever truly go away until you gain the inches. I'm sure a psychologist would try to have a field day with the idea of the surgery but the bottom line is I believe this surgery is the most accurate depiction of a physical solution to a mental problem.

It's neither one extreme not the other . The reality is that height is important. However it's also overestimated in importance too.
Once you're near average height you'll be fine. Height variation is actually very small in humans. 5'7" to 6' will encapsulate nearly 90% of guys. So you can literally wear one inch insoles at 5' 9" to reach 5' 11" with shoes and you'll be above average.
