Quote from: uponly on April 23, 2023, 06:54:25 PMFor the first month, every serious pain gives you paranoia that you've damaged your hardware. Unless you disobeyed your Dr.'s protocols and you're being completely careless about your recovery, this is incredibly unlikely.
An X-ray is the only way to find out for sure. That said, from what I heard from my PT (who quieted my anxiety when I thought I did this), you would be in a whole new level of pain if you bent or broke a nail. You certainly wouldn't be on the forum typing
.
Quote from: Hagane on April 23, 2023, 07:40:14 PMmy physio pretty much said the same thing
there will be no suspicion of breaking it. you will KNOW
he said if you feel a sudden pain + clunk but it goes away its most likely the break up of scar tissue
but if the pain persists ( and is excrutiating) then its might be a broken nail

Havent gotten damaged yet. I think the best way to tell is that if it lengthens you're good. I feel like it's pretty obvious if it is lengthening if you've been doing it for a while
Has any of you talked with and heard anything about it from your doctors?
