Do the whole issues w/ stryde not being available (still happening?) affect things? Hoping to do surgery in fall of 2022 about a year from now

How many months before surgery should you make first contact w/ Dr.?

Dr. G has had multiple cases on osteolysis in his patients who used stryde. With the recall now, no one knows when nuvasive will bring back Stryde.
I'd say, best to contact your Dr at least 2-3 months ahead of planned surgery.

I've talked to some people/read about others who booked up to 1 month prior to surgery. If your surgeon is in high demand I would reach out ASAP though.

What do people on this forum think will be the best option? Wait until NuVasive comes out with a new model without these problems?
