How safe will 3cm LON Tibia be?

People were attacking you because they were thinking you were wasting a lot of money and energies on this procedure as you are only wanting to do 3cm but it's personal chocice so whatever.

As for 3cm, I don't think it have high chances of being dangerous. It will be very likely to have very low dangers and consumption of time. I don't think you need to worry about it.

But infection does nothing to do with lengthening amount. So you gotta be aware of surgerical and post-surgerical hygienes, and etc.

so i wanted to ask if you know how difficult it is to go to the toilet by yourself and walking around the hotel for breakfast in the morning etc

In general I'd recommend people to rent a bigger place. The confined space of a hotel room created chance for depression. Your mental health is 1 important driving factor.

But since you'd lengthen only 3cm, I guess it would be fast, hotel's probably OK. But get a place outside if you can. Do some price analysis. I rented an apartment when doing LL at Paley's. The per-month cost turned out cheaper and I got plenty more of space.

Yes, it's after and chronic, that's the real problem. Things may have improved a bit since this article but when your pattelar tendon is "manipulated", the risk is allways comparable. In this study, the risk was unacceptable  (77%). The risk is less if the paratendon is perfurated instead but it's still extremely high: 50%.
I think before chosing LON, a new review of literature should be made and the chosen surgeon must be extremely experienced. The best option  however, in tibias, in my perspective, is pure externals and  prepare mentally and physically to be 2/3 more time with the bulky ring fixators in the legs.

My doc said that they put the tibia nail in virtually every tibia fracture patient these days and he rarely sees knee pain complaints but yes total external is maybe better for 3cm. Even better to wear elevator shoes and take glucosamine tablets regularly.

Question to the surgeon is if they can go from either side this tendon (way around per zaozari if I understand you correctly) to insert the rod into tibia. If they would cut a hole through this tendon, ask about its recovery. Absolutely no go if they would cut it (though I don't think reputable surgeons would cut it).

That's a question to your surgeon and it differs from person to person. In theory tibia lengthens .75mm/day. Most people slow down later to .5mm/day. It all depends on how your muscles catch up and how your bones heal.

It's difficult to say as it depends on some variables. But for example let's consider that the surgeon choses (and your body reacts ok) to 0,66mm lenghtening per day, with 15 days initial "resting" period, and a rough approach, considering that each 0,66 of lenghtening would need additionally the double in time to consolidate minimally enough (0 66 × 2 = 1,3 days). This would be in total around 2,5 months. But this cannot be calculated by math directly, not everything is proportional, like internal and external scars  or the degree of consolidation your body achieves and at which the surgeon choses to remove the fixators. You may also have temporary periods of less than 0 66/day lenghtening (and sometimes even retrograde movement of the fixators to increase consolidation or correct any misalignment or other issue).
