I’m 21 years old male and I’m a weak 5’9 or 175cm. I’ve never been called short before however I have noticed discrimination and feel as if I were taller my life would be so much better whether that’s with women or at work. It’s not a lie that being taller gets you more respect as I’ve noticed this with my friends, whenever I’m out with them people tend to respect them more and they get treated like men while I sometimes get treated like a little boy. One of them is 6’3 and the other is 5’11 but even at his height he gets way more respect and female attention than me. My dad is 6’3 and I ended being 6 inches shorter than him which sucks probably cause my mom is so short at 5’2.
I always grew up looking up to my dad an thinking I would reach that height, I’ve always wanted to be tall. I’ve saved 25k so far and I’m going to save another 25k this year while I make my decision as to whether I do it or not. I plan on getting 5cm in the tibia and 5cm in the femur, I’d rather do two surgeries so I don’t ruin my biomechanics which is very important to me. This would be a total of 10cm taking me to 185cm which I would be very happy with. I then found out yesterday though that my wingspan is only 176cm so my height basically, which means my wingspan will be -10cm. This is what was putting me off doing it. Would I look weird? I was thinking just do it and then wait until there’s a safe way to lengthen the arms, but I’m having second thoughts about it. What do you lot think?
