I think the average for young men came in at 183-184CM. That means 190CM should be a common height for young men I can understand how people might feel short at 6'1 in the lowlands.

True - which is one of the tallest in the world : )

Jokingly yes, I wholeheartedly agree, but actually moving to another country is a huge decision.. Job opportunities, local currency conversion, lifestyle differences, cultural differences, language barriers (if any), bureaucratic difficulties.. True, it's easier to move from one European country to another (given that you're a EU member). Still, it's a difficult decision - in which male height average probably wouldn't even matter. Lol

And yeah, objectively speaking he doesn't need LL at all, but to each his own. It's more like a "I want it" situation for him rather than "I need it". Just like a luxury good.

Quote from: ChrisIsaak on November 11, 2014, 08:32:36 PMAjax2thousand20 are you Dutch? Because that would actually justify your want to do LL, at least in my eyes. I'm asking also because Ajax is my fav Dutch team.

I have Dutch ancestry on my Materal side and have visited the Netherlands but no. I'm American.

I don't feel short to be honest I feel slightly above average but far from tall. I'm gonna probably feel tall after ll at 6'3" + and maybe when I visit Holland.

My deepest condolences, You must have a very strong mentality to survive this living hell. I would like to apologize on behalf of humanity for the heightism that you have experienced.

Doing 1 inch of LL In regards to psychiatrists  In regards to psychiatrists In regards to psychiatrists you make me laugh out loud.
Mate, I am sorry to say this... but you're straight up mentally ill.
Please contact the closest psychologist.

You come off as hypocritical when you talk like this. You yourself are 5'10 so it's not like you have it bad either. If you think you get descriminated against on the regular at 5'10 the you're delusional. You're also pretty tall for an LL patient. So am I, at 5'10, but I admit it. Moresoe, I'm Northern European and 5'10 and I don't really experience any height discrimination. Not getting the benefits of being tall isn't really a form of descrimination in day to day life, even though it technically is.

Also, you comment about proportions all day long and then get offended when someone seeks a small gain to help maintain proportionalty. Also quite hypocritical if you ask me.

At 5'10 myself, LL is something I really, really want but not something I need. I want it to match my image of who I should be physically, but I can certainly live a perfectly normal and healthy life without LL. At 5'5 or 165CM like Kilokahn, it's actually hard to get treated normally in many situations, which is legitimate discrimination and makes me quite sad.

I never said that i experienced heightism, Maybe 2-3 times in my adult life.
That's the bloody point, I don't even feel that short. Maybe lower average but certainly not short.

1 inch gain... say it out loud, I didn't get offended. Getting LL for one bloody inch is plain stupid, Is it worth it in your opinion taller ?

Same here, I feel bad for shorter people than myself, Facing discrimination and all the crap that comes with low height. About my self-image, I never would be able to match it, The next best thing to do is at least get close to it, I want to be in the 6'2" - 6'4" range, But ill never be this tall.

680 Why are you so concerned about proportions you have some of the best stats I've ever seen. Your arms are longer than my dads and he's a decimeter taller than you. Your sitting height is normal so you could probably lenghten up to 10CM and look good also your hands are huge. These are just numbers but if they are any indication to how you look I'd say you could be 6'2 easy.

If I were you I'd be more worried about what that lenghtening will do to your body, proportions should be the last of your concern.

--I'm 2CM taller than you but my arms are a decimeter shorter that's insane
