Nothing like good old incel filled topics Is 1.5 inch tibia lengthening worth it? (5’9 to 5’10.5)

It depends on how much money you have available.

The advantages of doing 1.5 inches on tibias is that you will likely recover well if you choose an expensive an experienced doctor.

The disadvantage is that it will likely not make a big difference. Although I would say: When you are at 175 cm range getting to 178 cm will statistically make a bigger jump in population ranking than if you went from say 163 cm to 166 cm (i.e. You go from being shorter than about 60% of the young male population to about 50%).

The disadvantage could be mitigated if you chose to then do say 4 cm in femurs bringing you up to 182 cm. The point being that by doing modest amounts in each section you increase probability of recovering a lot of your athletic ability over time compared to someone who does say 8 cm in femur or tibia.

tl;Dr if you are rich I’d say go for it. If not, and you have to choose a cheap doctor to do it then id say not worth the risk of him doing a bad job and you end up in a wheelchair and very poor for 3 cm.

If you think you have it bad now, remember, it could be a lot worse. Even though our minds make us believe nothing could be worse, it could.

1.5 Inches is about 4 CM.

Yes, 4 CM on the tibia is good.

All good doctors do not recommend more than 5 CM.

Ironically I think the taller you are the more smaller height increases are beneficial. Going from 5’4 to 5’5.5 is really not going to change much but going from 5’11 to 6’0.5 is going to put you in a different “height category”.  I think going from 5’9 to 5’10.5 will provide a noticeable difference in the way people see you and the way you see yourself. I’m 5’9 and one of my closest friends is 5’10.5. The height difference very noticeable. It’s actually amazing how much I get made fun of for my height in the US despite the fact I’m basically average.

What I don’t understand is why you are going for the more painful, expensive, sketchy bone to lengthen when you could do femurs and potentially hit the magic 6 foot mark while paying less, suffering less and with a lower complication risk.

I am in Australia, I notice many young white females are around 5 9 here (even my own granddaughter !) , I don't generally find them attractive tbh (usually big shoulders and waists) -  so glad my beautiful wife is 5 4.5 and well proportioned.

The young white females who are around 5'9 are people under age of 40?

That's quite tall. I think girls in Australia are fond of sports, like swimming, basketball. That could be another factor why young women are taller. For men, a lot are taller than 6 feet there?...

i think it is a combination of factors eg the high protein (meat/dairy) diet,  low stress/relaxed lifestyle with weekly sport (plenty of sleep and HGH release), ethnic background e.g (many Aussies are of  Scandinavian/German/Dutch background - myself included) ....and maybe the GH in meat??

Indeed. I think milk products from Australia and New Zealand are very popular. Here in my place they also importing milk and cheese from Australia. They are more expensive than domestic made milk but very good for our bodies

I live in a regional area of Australia, lots of big country boys, i think 5 11 is average for the younger (20-35) guys here, but at 5 10.5 I feel more average/taller in the large (Melbourne/Brisbane) cities.

I feel like that would be a waste of money, time and pain. Recovery might be easier but still. Like I dont even like the idea if I go from 5'7 to 5'10 with only one surgery but then yeah recovery will s**k if I do more or another surgery. So its your life your choice I guess.
