Would like to hear some experiences:

1) Doing LL with a significant other present
2) Doing LL in a different city from an SO
3) Telling an SO you would like to do LL
4) Disclosing to an SO that you have done LL

I'm in the camp of numbers 1 and 3.  Considering and being open about it.  She's supportive.  What questions do you have?

Well I’m not OP but how long have you been together? Did you feel nervous? Was she taken aback at all?

My wife is my best friend and she didn’t want me to do LL and was scared for me, but now I am in the process and she takes care of me a lot . Not to say she doesn’t get frustrated at times. For example when I wake up at 4am and use my walker and make a ton of noise to go to the bathroom

I’m grateful but at the same time not really, I’ve always been the man of the house and paid all the bills / living expenses so I wouldn’t consider myself “owing” her one

My wife had a big scare when I told her about my plan, calling it crazy, which let's be honest it is. Even though she accepted it, there is some residual apprehension simply due to the fact that I am going to spend a substantial amount of money and go through a risky procedure.

I have no doubt that she will support me wherever she can, but I hope that I can get through this smoothly so as not to put any more of a burden on her.
