I have this impression
This is surprising, given that Western are among the largest in the world (mainly in Northern Europe)
it's probably because we have more money but also because we are more complexed because there are more tall people in our societies
but with the Westernization of Asia that will strengthen
and it's funny to see that the majority of contenders for the operation are men
i know a 146 cm girl and she dont have a disphoria (and she has a 175-80 boyfriend) so the life is easier for a short girl i think

Quote from: ketchum on January 17, 2018, 09:38:34 AMAFAIK, heightism is going around east Asian countries especially South Korea. Height discrimination in the country is extremely harsh. You can see the tip of the iceberg in this article: http://ilyo.co.kr/?ac=article_view&entry_id=42481
In my country (Japan) things are bit better but every time you visit Japanese internet forums you see people teasing short men by saying things like "Men under 170cm-tall are manlets bla bla bla".

Yes, there is that kind of comments everywhere. Mostly from people who don't know their real height or are insecure themself. Don't care about them.
