Hi guys, I currently have a consultation scheduled with Dr. Paley for December. However, I am starting to get impatient and I know I am going to have to book out the surgery for a few months if I do go ahead with Dr. Paley. I would like to get this surgery done sooner than later as I am already 28. Additionally, I live in LA and would prefer to go with a doctor that is closer like Mahboubian or Debiparshard. I know everyone on here hates that they both actively advertise CLL and I agree that it isn't a good look for them. However, do you guys feel that they are competent and safe doctors for this procedure? I would also save $50,000 going with one of them over Paley.

On the last interview of Dr. Paley they showed some x-rays of Dr. Debiparshad’s patient and Paley basically said that he did a poor job and their was some miss alignment. If I were in your place I wouldn’t go to neither of them.

I think Dr Debiparshad will do a good job and possibly 2nd best choice. Dr Paley has a team of physical therapist that deal will lengthening patients. This was super helpful and they motivated me to reach  80mm and maximize the nail. One guy had to do additional surgery to remove his rod because of infection and the other person was going to have  a foot drop if he kept lengthening. almost everyone had nerve irritation which resolves itself with time. Couple of other patients had DVT so the rate of complications are not low and happens often. Paley is the best choice and has the most amount of experience. He can take care of the complications if it happens.

Was even worse than that. Basically called him an amateur and couldn't believe he would use that x-ray to promote his practice.

I just looked at my X-ray...Dr Robbins and Paley did a great job with the alignment of the nail in my femur. It looks perfect
