Quote from: Polycrates. on March 25, 2014, 04:36:46 PMNot related to physio, but I'd stress the use of flaxseed again. It doesn't get much recognition in the LL community,  but I ceased taking it for a few weeks, and after frame removal I hard severe knee stiffness and pain in my right knee. Been taking it for 3 days again and I can flex my knee to 90 degrees without too much difficulty. I've read it has pain suppressing properties rather than cartilage and joint repair properties (which glucosamine chondroitin is good for) but nevertheless it helps when you're doing physio movements.
This makes sense, lubrication seems like a must for bones that are growing, could perhaps add extra tension between the joints. Thanks poly

Hey there food for thought,
I am unsure of what country you are from, but I just wanted to give you an angle you could maybe work out.  I am from california, and one of my plans was, once I started physical therapy during consolidation phase to get a physical therapists, and get it through your state, or federal governement.  The reason I say this is that the government won't pay for elective surgeries, but I am pretty sure their is a grey area, where you could get creative, and have the government pay for the physical therapy portion.  Especially if he did lengthening over Nail.  No one would even see his frames.  So who knows what could of happened to him.

Quote from: kp35 on March 25, 2014, 12:48:10 PMHey there everyone, I'm pretty new to the forum have posted before, but in case anyone hasn't seen my posts a quick introduction - I'm taking care of my brother after his LL procedure, he had surgery last Thursday, in the mean time, I will be taking care to make sure he gets the right amount of vitamins, protein, and therapy. The LL method were using is the Precise 2.0 rod.

Since we aren't hiring a physical therapist, I've been planning on ways to get him back into walking condition. So far, we've worked on stretches lifting his leg as much as he can etc. 5 days after recovery, his right leg seems to be doing a lot better than the left (the left has a weird bruise - perhaps the nerve is bruised). However, both are recovering and he is able to stretch and move his leg further than the first day back from the hospital which is a relief. Is there any type of schedule anyone can lay out for me that their PT gave them? Or perhaps a time frame of anyone who has done LL when they were able to walk on crutches, etc.
And maybe some excercises and stretches that may be useful for him.

I'm also searching for equipment that may help with the process so far I've found:
Foot Peddler (

If anyone can please let me know if there is ANYTHING missing or that I'm doing wrong, please let me know! Comment on the above items if possible, and add to the list if you must!
Thanks so much in advance.

Hi All,

I am a arthritis patient. After many medications and consultation of orthopedic doctors, I moved on to physical therapy workouts that saved my life.

In a very short I noticed a relief in the knee pain. These physical therapy provide strength to the muscles. After my doctors recommendation, I never missed a single day and the therapy helped to decrease pain and helped in easy mobility. These physical therapy Exercise focuses on proper control during functional movements such as squatting and carrying heavy objects with minimal to no pain.
