Its clear you havent read ANYTHING on this forum... otherwise you wouldn't have ask such a question
common thought is tibia less painful than femur and less of a general headache than femur.
However, when you factor in all the other pros and cons, seems like choosing femur over tibia is a no-brainer. Max potential height, scarring visibility, drilling through your hip rather than you knee, risks of high t/f ratio, etc.
It’s hard to say because I didn’t have a nail inside with the fixators, but tibia pain was a cake walk for me. The femurs was definitely more painful, but then again note it’s not an even comparison. There is another patient I spoke to that did both segments with precise and he said tibia was easier and less pain. Not really enough sample size to make a definite conclusion. I’ve read opposite from other on the forum
