So, i'm 5'2, at 24 years old, super short, and this has become unbearable
I somewhat convinced my parents to pay for this surgery because i had no gf since high school and my dad is worried about that.
But i don't want anyone to suspect, that's why i want to do it i summer vacations, and here is the matter;
Considering i want to do femurs first and then tibias, a full year appart, so two summers doing this, its possible to maintain the time between surgery and recovery (until i can walk without crutches on any kind of support) at 4 months each as a top time limit? the numbers i have in my mind are 5cm femurs and 4 cm tibias, and both are planned to be made with an external method, maybe including a titanium plate the doctor recommend to attach in the bone at the time you end lengthening. I could even consider the top lengthening amount at 4.5 and 3.5 cm each if that helps to heal faster, but under that is just a nonsense.
What do you think guys?
Super conservative amount of lengthening in exchange of a rapid 100% recovery?
My dad has a good amount of capital but he doesn't have much liquidity rn (real state), at least if i want to do it this summer (four months from now here in the southern hemisphere), so externals are the main option at the moment, plus, this doctor from Argentina who is probably going to make the surgery, only does, externals and precise.
He has good reputation, apparently he has done a few interventions with paley and worked in Spain a couple years. I had the opportunity to contact a few of his previous patients of him who did CLL and they have a good rewievs
I'm already using height insoles to look taller, and i can add even more to reach something like 7 cm from the floor and softens the contrast between my actual height to my height after surgery. Months after all the process, when i can already walk normally again i can start to use sport shoes and even confortables insoles again just saying i am using insoles and/or thicker shoes, which explain my taller height.

I'm going to have an x-ray of my legs tomorrow and i'm talking more in detail with my doctor after that
Quote from: Body Builder on August 20, 2024, 01:54:16 PMAt your height a comservative amount won't make a significant difference.
Either go for about 14cm (8 femurs and 6 on tibias) or at.least 12cm otherwise get a nice car or something like that with all that money.
Also,.external femurs will ruin you. Forget about it.
Why not to do external femurs? i would like to know what do you think
And, external tibias it's fine? i saw its pretty common to do it this way instead of precise
I prefer to stay safe and shorten the post lengthening and consolidation phase. 9 cm its fine to me instead of 12 or so, is not that much of a difference to me
Quote from: Precise2.2 on August 20, 2024, 04:52:25 PM5'5 is better than 5'2, you'll definitely have a better recovery than most. My only recommendation is go for internal nails vs external.
Great, thanks you
Quote from: StevenHoang on August 20, 2024, 09:00:41 PMExternal femur has very high chances of infection and complications, also the recovery time is very long.
The nails penetrate through a lot of nerves and muscles so it’s easy to get infection
And what about external in tibias?
.
Quote from: Robert Adam on August 28, 2024, 07:43:55 AM4 cm for tibia and 5 cm for femur are safe limits. For me, more is a risk. But I would only use internal Precice 2.2 devices and better Pmax in USA.
Yeah, my choice will be likely to do externals in tibias and precise in femurs.
I hope there is precise max already in the market by the end of the following year
Quote from: RandomDude on August 28, 2024, 07:36:10 PMOfc it is going to make a noticable difference in the dating market. If he has an attractive face he’s going to get a lot more woman compared to an attractively faced 5’2 guy who’s basically invisible to most woman.
Also, the guy is from Argentina, 5’8 is pretty much average there, not short.
Actually my face is kinda attractive, that's why i had some luck in my teens when i wasn't an outlier in terms of height, even i'm pretty introverted. So, reaching about 5'6, 5'7 using insoles, i think i would be a game changer for me, totally
Quote from: Body Builder on August 29, 2024, 03:03:14 PM5.8 is not short, it is shorter than average but still average, at least for.countres where average height is 5.10 which are the most.
Most 5.8 men with good looks don't have much problems in dating while a 5.2 man is invisible even with the best face ever and 10 millions in the bank.
You are totally wromg.
I'm not reaching 5'8 starting at 5'2 but just about 5'6.
The difference comes from being totally invisible to girls to being able to participate in the game in the first place, thats a huge change and what im looking for.
You cannot expect from the people who participates in a forum of guys willing to break their legs to be taller not be totally blackpilled and have their reality somewhat pretty distorted, mainly for those guys just a couple inches under average male height for their place, blaming their shortness in their incapacity to get girls. Most of them just doesn't realize the problem it's obviously in some other place, not them being just a bit under average height.
My case is different ofc, but even at 5'2 i got some luck with girls, but ugly girls tbh.
