Hello fellow LLers,

I really want to undergo tibial lengthening with the Precice Stryde nail but I am now concerned that my extremely flat feet could render me ineligible for that procedure.  Has anyone here with flat feet lengthened their tibiae?  If so, did any complications arise due to flat feet?  I can’t find any information on this but I do realize that the feet and lower legs are highly connected, as ballerina foot is among the biggest risks of tibial lengthening.

The reason you haven't found any information is because it doesn't matter if you have flat feet.

That’s a relief to read!  Hopefully the Stryde is back soon—I’m hoping to do this after I lose a few pounds (fat embolism) and improve calf/Achilles flexibility!

One of my friend has flat feet and she has dond 5cm with Lon on tibia.
Now she has some trouble with her right ankle and the doctor told her that’s because she have flat feet. But she is progressing everyday with physiotherapy and she will be on top soon so i don’t think it’s an obligation to have problem when you have flat feet for tibia surgery. And whatever you can correct it after that Tibial Lengthening with Flat Feet?
