I read a user in an old topic, but with no further discussion, saying that if lenghtening tibias, using lifts afterwords may not be advisable.
Does anybody have a view, if this is just an opinion or if there's really any relation? (BTW, I supose this doesn't apply to ''normal'' elevator/platform shoes).
Women doing tibias often use high heels afterwards....
I agree with that assertion. Not just for lifts but for all height increasing shoes. My balance is wonky enough as it is. Maybe if you lengthen less than me you could get away with a little padding though.
As for thoughts about wedge lifts specifically causing ballerina feet, or at least preventing it from improving, I think that's probably not a big deal as long as you spend some time standing without the wedges regularly.
Damn that sounds brutal. I wouldn't do Leg Lenghtening if I couldn't wear lifts (3inches) afterwards. Actually SAD!

I wear 3 inch lifts wherever I go, only problem is that you have to eventually take them off. It's not possible to reject your friends' invites to activities everytime for places that don't need shoes (ex. swimming, beach volleyball, yoga, bowling, going to their house, etc.).
LL solves this problem, I don't even want to be tall or average, just more accepted than I currently am.

Agree. Once you are short, you are socially cast.
I asked this because I am so short (3SD) and height neurotic that I need lenghtening tibias PLUS lenghtening femurs PLUS elevator shoes or lifts (I don't care taking off shoes in private settings, though).
And not only I have still not money for femurs as I am not young and thus can't wait too long for both surgeries (segments).
Then u should try Paley's Option 5, and keeping a vertically erected hairstyle. Wearing shoe lifts, forget it, I know it will also probably ruin your proportions.
I think shoe lifts damage posture and result in long term pain as they stress your ankles, knees, hips and spine, and maybe give you a hunched look eventually too.

Hi AimHigh, who was your Fitbone surgeon? If you don't want to tell it publicly do you mind DMing me?
Nothing wrong with small shoe lifts. 2 to 3 inches.
I guess if you got your tibs lengthened it would really make your tibs look long, so that may be an issue. Other then the look, you will be fine as long as you do not tilt yourself forward too much. Also, Have shoes for different situations. tie events, keep your 3s handy, beach, get a nice lifted sandle. No shame in all this, women lift their boobs, get implants, wear heals its purely aesthetics.
