Verification to create diaries

Why aren't moderators doing more to ban fake accounts and delete fake diaries?

If IP Addresses can't be checked then start a manual verification process.

Whenever someone creates a new diary, a moderator can PM them and ask them to send proof such as:

A short 30s call with a Mod

A specifically instructed video in which the patient shows their legs


Literally so many non invasive ways of verifying whether a patient's diary is real or not.

The patient should be given 1 week to verify themselves from when the diary's been created otherwise their post is deleted and they're banned.

Simple.

A lot of people are hesitant to post diaries at all.  So many patients have come here, asked a few questions, and then left without sharing their story.  I think a verification process would reduce the participation rate even more, unfortunately.

There can be many many easy ways to verify.

1. 30second video call/phone call
2. 30second video
3. Proof of Payment
4. 1 simple picture of their legs with a specific instructed pose

It's better to have 10 verified authentic diaries than having 20 unverified diaries mixed with fakes.

Most people wont want to take the hassle to verify themselves and this would reduce the diaries significantly. If anything these steps are far too intrusive for a voluntuary website. Probably a picture of the forum page with their fixators on should suffice.

Yeah, even this would be enough. There's no way someone can think 1 picture is too intrusive.

You can self-verify your own diary.  It'd be like Twitter where you can get a blue checkmark to add to your legitimacy but everyone else can be on there too.
