I am planning on doing 8cm on femurs and do 5-6cm on tibia after my femurs has recovered. Is it possible to walk normally after recovering from this surgery? Normally as in getting back to walking like how I was walking pre LL.

if one segment ABSOLUTELY my brother, 2 segments idk but why not walking is not a problem but running, sprinting, twisting, jumping,.... are the problem for ''2 segment'' for only 1 it's less. I walk like a ''normal'' guy 3 months post op
Pretty much. You'll never be back to 100% with artificially stretched out legs, but reasonably close if all goes well.

I've always wondered what people mean by this, because the way I interpret it sounds a bit bewildering.
How do you interpret it?

The way I usually interpret it is that you'll never regain your pre-op strength, speed, and musculature.
However, if you mean to say that your body will certainly be different after surgery, and some things will be harder by a virtue of a change in biomechanics (for example, touching your toes will be inevitably harder due to longer legs), then yeah, I can see that.
What I mean is the latter, although the former is often true.
That makes sense, which is why I plan on going with a really good doc and do pure externals for my tibias.
