Calls me a dumbass and whole lots of other names for wanting extra cm's and writes an entire book about why it's bad but the hypocrite wants to use edibles during surgery as if it’s any better.

Quote from: BestOfLuck on June 14, 2023, 05:52:24 PMHey guys,

I was wondering what the rules are for people who smoked weed/nicotine casually before the surgery. You obviously have to be clean before the operation and cant smoke during the extraction itself as that messes with bone growth. but what are the rules for someone who smoked weed before the surgery? How long should they come off weed before going into surgery? Are they more likely to get a non union regardless of if they quit? Is smoking of any kind doable after your fully recovered from the surgery and consolidated? Any info on this topic would be appreciated.

Nicotine and THC slow bone healing while CBD seems to be ok.  Note my research on this is near 0.  But here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35180183/

My advice is eat well, take supplements, dont smoke or use drugs, dont drink, get sleep, and specifically dont take an antihistamine (Advil etc)

Thanks for the info, what kind of supplements did you end up taking during your procedure?

Most important is Calcium, magnesium, D3, and K2.  Beyond that: multivitamin, fish oil, NMN, protein, amino acids and bcaas, collagen peptides.  Id leave some of these off during distraction though to avoid pre-consolidation...like too much D3 and NMN.
