Pure external frame and LON/LATN will have the same scarring since you are still using external fixation.

Hmm okay. If I were to do external I'd probably do LON because you don't need them to be on nearly as long and then just scar revision.

I think LON/LATN would have slightly worse scarring compared to only externals due to the additional nail insertion/removal that doesn't happen with only externals?

The scar on the knee is definitely the more noticable one. But externals stay on for so much longer than LON/LATN that it makes it seem like the timing trade off isn't worth it.

Lets assume LON have less scar, but whats the point if its riskier than internal and takes longer?!

Price, but that's the only thing. I could up with money with externals by 2017, for intervals it'll be years. So that's what my thought process is. Like I said, I still haven't come close to deciding. I appreciate the honesty though.
