I'm currently in month 8 of my recovery, my ankles just will not stop swelling. I'm trying to wrap them in tensor bands when I walk, and ice them down with elevation when I sleep. I would figure by now they would just stop swelling up.
Does it ever stop? I still have pins in my ankles, and am walking sometimes upwards of 1km or more. Sometimes less. Just hate coming home after a day out with ankles like balloons. Do I just wait until the frames are off?

Hi jcayabo
I didn't do external but internal tibias so I don't fully understand your situation. However, I also had quite long lasting ankle swelling in my left side even until almost about 2 months after stopping lengthening. I was so much worried about it like I was thinking something must be wrong in my legs. But then it went away after all. Since you have still pins in your legs, I guess your swelling may last longer than mine. Just hang in there, buddy!! You are almost there!!
