Quote from: readyprecisestryde on November 07, 2022, 07:56:03 AMI had numbness on my left shin and electric shocks going down my leg. It took a year
for it to mostly go away after I stopped lengthening. I still have tiny bit of the numbness. Neurologist prescribed mentanx to help the nerves regenerate themselves and Dr Robbins prescribed gabapentin. I don’t use neither of the prescriptions anymore and don’t have the electric shocks. It was scary and it is common amongst lengthening patients
"Neurologist prescribed mentanx to help the nerves regenerate themselves"
Oh damn, I never thought about this. Wonder if its a good idea to see a neurologist in the USA after I leave Athens, not sure insurance would help for something like that though to get mentanx
I get some very mild electric shocks in my left hamstring when I fully extend it. I still have mild numbness in my right shin. But luckily my shin nerve pain seems to be decreasing, I only get it when the hip flexors are very stretched
Did LON on Tibia 6cm, Recovery Time but I have Nerve pain
Quote from: SpeedDialer on November 15, 2022, 02:24:51 PMIt is giving off the impression as if Guichet and Sarin are the most aggressive in going after the forum posts
I think Guichet is a great doctor but people who write diaries about him might need to self-censor to avoid Unicorn's fate
F...K that. Self censorship? We are all free to express what we think. If this dr Sarin believes the patient is misrepresenting him than he can jump in here and write his side of the story.
I think Betz did this once. Other doctors are in here too. And then maybe we find out that the patient was at fault, but...
Guys don't let these pricks scare you. If you are in this situation chances are that you're gonna have to change doctor anyway.
When I was in Athens in the hospital (it was maybe the 3rd day after surgery) dr Giotikas asked me to share my experience so far with a prospective patient that came for a consultation.
His first words to me were like,do you want to share your experience? If so, please give him a fair and true representation of what you think. I'll leave you with the guy so you can talk freely and please, be honest and tell this patient exactly how you think you've been treated, both good and bad.
I appreciated that and the fact that I was in no way pressured to give a biased feedback.
As someone said this operation is like, once you're in, there ain't going back. You need to be followed up by people with some sort of integrity. Yes it is a business for them, but there's moral standards that unfortunately you don't have in certain countries.
Stick to the US and Europe. Yes it is more expensive. Go to work, save up, wait until you can. There's no point in being +8cm and crippled.
I have self censored and decided to talk about Flipendo instead
I'm sure the doctors are great and there is nothing wrong

Quote from: whitesaucepasta on November 16, 2022, 02:36:40 PMI was told by their team that 'Should We come there and tell everyone that you were smoking weed and not doing physio' and obviously blaming me for everything.
I'm obviously not letting him ever operate on my legs again
might need to get to paley or lee or someone to fix me.
I'll just say, I'm fked and i'm blamed for it
that's all i'll say
Just don't get this surgery from there
OMG WTF?? Crippling a man and then blaming him for it.

I don't think you need Mentanx. My nerve pain was much worse and took a long time to resolve itself. You can try to see if your insurance covers the prescription and It may help with your nerve pain. I paid cash for mentanx and i think it was around $70 monthly ..Dr Robbins told me that he hasn't seen any nerve irritation not resolving itself with time.
Yes, for sure. He can come here and speak.
But i'll just say,
all of you know how many people have been crippled by him.
AM i the first one?
And ya'll only know about people that wrote on the forum.
I've seen people who aint write on the forum but were fked.
I'm gonna attach some pictures about the 'care'
Again, You asked for this.
