One of the things that sucks about being short is how difficult dieting is. I just noticed ive been fking up my deiting becuase ive been assuming 2000kcal a day when my actual rate needs to be lower. I know taller people consume more calories, so im wondering if the height gained from LL contributes to basal metabolic rate in the same way natural height does. For my target weight at current height it takes 1800 calories a day and for my target weight at 5'10 it takes 1921 calories although id want a higher target weight if weight scales with height there aswell. cause 130lbs 5'5 is a good weight but its too low for 5'10.
So at 5'10 and a target weight of 145 I'd be able to eat 2000kcal which would be perfect and another good benefit to LL.

I remember some reputable LL surgeon saying that LL will, in fact, increase your basal metabolic rate. However, the amount by which it does so is not some crazy big increase. But yes a small increase.
