Might consider external femurs to extend by 8 cm instead of internals because of the cost (76K in singdollars 
). If anyone is able to show their photos of scarring afterwards Id be interested since scarring is a main concern.

The problem is not the scars with external femurs. It is the rods inserted through muscles in the femur. Femur external lengthening is extremely painful and also has a high risk of complications for many reasons.
You can pm dozer who did external femurs on this forum and maybe he can give you more advice or share pictures with you. You could just google the pictures though.
I don't have a photo but i have seen a girl after femur ilizarov and scars looked horrible

Just go external tibia for 5.5-6cm and call it a day
