For tibias I agree. Only external with a good hexapod like tsf is the best option with the only drawback that it takes a lot of time before frame removal. But then you are completely done.

For femurs though the one and only method should be internals only.
Everything else is a torture.

Externals have to be used for 9 months And you are done generally
LON: the fixators are used for 3 months, but the inner rod stays inside for dime months more, generally 9 more to complete a usar, becuase the healing is slower than with external fixators

But if I go for LON, after that time I would be able to walk without support? Like wheelchair for example.

For 6 cm you can start walking unaided after 7 months, more or less.Depends on your weight also
