Is arm length to height ratio better than wingspan for working out proportions?

Mine is 76 cm, so only a little longer than yours. We are almost the same size haha. What is your overall arm span? Mine is about 178 cm

They probably wanted them to look aesthetic, though. Maybe short arms are traditionally considered aesthetic in Chinese culture.

A large part of the terracotta army is about 5'9" btw which they think might have been around average Chinese height back then. Reason being people became shorter during the period of industrial development all around the world, due to the extreme deprivation experienced by urban working class.

Damn couldn't see the image , came in late :/ . Anyways got a rough idea from your post @jack , the part where it starts to curve right?

Well from the start to my wrist was about 21 inches = 53 cm and till the end of my middle finger it was 28 inches = 71 cm .

My height is 163 cm , do you guys think my arms are short?

Also for those who measured it and posted here , did you measure all the way till the tip of your fingers or was it just till your wrists ?

My shoulders are pretty narrow my wingspan is  only around 165-166.

there is no way your arms are 71cm long if you are a narrow shouldered and have a wingspan of 165-166. It means your shoulder blades are 24cm wide

You are right man I just measured my shoulders rougly and they're some inches over a foot , I just thought 24cm was normal lol 😅 , anyways I start measuring near about my triceps so it gave me 24 inches till my middle finger's tip so I guess my full arm length should be more right? , I don't know what is that I am measuring wrong as I did my wingspan quite a few times and never exceeded 167 cm mark. I guess I'll just need to go to a general physician to get my measurements taken 😅

Just measured my wingspan and arm lenght. Wingspan: 168.5cm, Arm lenght: 71.5cm. I must be doing something wrong, this can't be correct, right?
