Questions for American who went to Greece or India for LL

I'm American and I've never sent money to someone outside America/never gone outside of America

1. For paying the doctor, what methods would you recommend using to pay the doctor? I am vaguely aware of something called exchange rate but am unsure what is in your control

2. For paying for other things during your stay in Greece or India, how would you recommend paying for things? Get some kind of prepaid card of some kind?

Pay with transferwise (now called wise). For paying for other stuff in that country you can use your American credit card or get a transferwise multicurrency card or any other forex card and use it.
