Leg muscles that lengthen and become thinner after LL surgery, then get thicker again? Or is the lifespan thin?

for example:

I lost so much muscle right after surgery, my legs became sticks, probably from being bed bound sk much. But once I was walking a lot again my legs pretty much turned to the original shape they were before hand

I am glad for that.

So your muscles have returned to their original form.

Donghoon recommend wear compression stockings for 2 years after tibial lengthening to reduce thick increase. For his patients it goes from thin during lengthening due to atrophy to thick post recovery lifespan thick. Some people only it varies some of his patient do not thick at all. Some people it becomes thick for a year and goes back. Varies

There's no drawback as a man to having thick calves, it's only an issue for female lengthening patients as women tend to be self-conscious about calf thickness.

As others have said, your calves will fill out after you start walking more, and they often become larger than pre-surgery. I don't really focus on calves at the gym and yet I often have people who don't know I got CLL ask me how I got my calves so large.
