For some jobs you have to stand for a long period of time... for example a warehouse job or a kitchen, and it still hurts your legs even when you have strong legs. So I was wondering if it’s possible to stand for at least 8 hours or maybe 10 hours and work?

i think if you wanna try to get back to work during your distraction phase, youre gonna be in for a BAD time
You mean after the consolidation phase and nail/device removal.
You can stand as much as you want. Maybe you'll have some back pain due to your posture, especially if you lengthen much, but nothing very bad.
That said, it is not the best to do LL if you have a manual job, but still it won't be impossible.
yeah i remember reading many diaries of people who can hike after LL
they still had their nails in.
but its was after distracting

Thanks for your reply. I will wait to heal up and ask the Surgeon when I can work again. I think I’ll possibly be able to work sitting down, as a (chef)

Thank you for your reply, this was really motivating, I didn’t think you’ll be able to stand for too long. But after hearing you, I think this surgery is even more fascinating now. I will go for 8cm first and most likely will go for 2inches after in tibia. I work as a chef so don’t think I will have much heavy lifting of anything.
