Quote from: meursault on March 01, 2015, 01:09:39 AMSo you're basically average for Singapore but yet you are breaking your legs to make yourself tall, and you're not mentally ill...

But when males who are average or below for their countries at 5'11"-6'0" or so want to LL, it's suddenly mentally ill?

6'0 is not the average of any country. I think you are mentally ill. There are a few studies which have been posted here. I have lost it. Some kind member posted the heights of Danish males, etc... Where is the PDF data? The average height in America is 176. For White Americans (young) it is 178. For Scandinavia it is 179-180 max.

Quote from: Uppland on March 01, 2015, 01:45:39 AMI alternate between thinking people on here are obsessed with height and vastly overstate its value to feeling they seriously underestimate how importat it is.

All of us agree that it's important but as for how important -who can say really?

-Edit

To clear up the misconception about young people exceeding the averge - it is true. However this doesn't necessarily mean that the average is increasing but is rather due to members of previous shorter generations being included and the fact that people shrink with age.

We do have some PDF files for age-differentiated, American, Norway (I think), Danish males, etc, that some kind member posted. Could that member come out again to give us the links? The average for 20-30 is the same as 30-40, and 40-50, BUT I THINK that it is higher than the entire national average.

The average male height in the netherlands is 6'0". Are you just going to conveniently ignore your own blatant hypocracy? I think i've revealed to everyone here that you are in fact the person living in your own fantasy world.

>Lengthening to 180cm
>conveniently, 180cm is now the 'sweet spot'
>conveniently, anything over 183cm is now 'too tall'

Are you retarded? I was saying, the Scandinavia which does not mean the Netherlands. Obviously you failed geography as well as comprehension. I feel sad for your teachers.

There was a Scandinavian country (I cannot recall) where PDF statistics were posted up here. It clearly said 180 was the average height. Ask Uppland. There are also a few other PDF files. Search for it.

You have less than 50 posts and claim to know the world. Certainly you are the one living in your own world. You have a grossly distorted mindset.

For the record, I am not sure nor do I want to know or did I research the height of Netherlands. I just read whatever was posted here, in terms of statistics. And I did not come across any Netherlands figure.

How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?

I am lengthening to 182.5 cm and that was a result of
* my surveys of girls and gay guys, straight guys
* my research on this forum that 182.5 is the most acceptable height. probably until 189 (in Scandinavia)
* anatomical limitations (I can of course do femurs for another 4 cm as my doc initially suggested, but it is such a waste of time, and I would be too tall in my country).

Stop deluding members here to lengthen to an un-worldly height and then suffer the repercussions. Look at the thread where I asked who you hire. 0% wanted to hire a very tall guy.

6 feet is the ideal height for Singapore and probably most of the world (if you stay in Singapore). If you stay in the UK/Denmark, etc, Then the ideal height is of course, a few centimetres higher. (since you spend most of your time there).

For that reason it is pointless for me to lengthen to 189 cm which is ideal in Scandinavia.

Caught you in a lie yet again. When are you going to end your tirade of spreading misinformation brought on by your own insecurity? I simply post cold hard evidence, which apparently enrages you and causes you to throw insults at me and quesiton my mental sanity. Meanwhile you are in a wheelchair with broken legs because you weren't satisfied with your height that was average in singapore. So either you recognize the benefit of being tall in your home country or you dont want to be considered short in foreign countries. But yet you don't care about the height of the Netherlands?  What a sob story How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?

What data did you post? Instead of launching personal attacks, lets talk facts. I have posted so many facts. Here are more:

http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr010.pdf#page=15 whit use men between 20 and 39 years old
http://www.ssb.no/a/english/yearbook/tab/tab-108.html norwegian young males
 http://www.dst.dk/pukora/epub/upload/17959/pop.pdf#page=34
young danish males

I want a height that is tall for Singpore, and above average for the rest of the world (and not too tall in my home country, as that is where I spend 99% of my time). And 182 was the obvious answer I arrived at How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?

I recognise benefits of height. They are minimal in Singapore, but present. I am not sure about the Caucasus. As I have repeated myself,  I want to be tall, but not "too tall". I was shocked to find out that there was a "too tall" idea when I asked friends (who didn't know my surgery, and whom when I meet them I wore lifts to 1.80). This "too tall" idea is surprising because some of them used to play basketball. I thought I wanted to do 1.90. But I ended up at 1.82, because I think, I CANNOT TAKE THE RISK of falling into a category of "too tall".

Rather, I put it to you, that you want to reach a height that is "too tall" and hence disagree (with the obvious insecurities) with all my assertions. I suggest you speak to musicmaker who is our resident psychologist.

Or speak to Dr Paley. He will show you the height percentiles on his website. LMAO  How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?

I have also posted Hollywood heights (we know Hollywood celebrities are taller) and there are few guys above 185. What do you have to say now?  I think your insecurities are being attacked cause you are lengthening to an un-worldly height, deluding yourself: taller is better. Taller is NOT better.

in nature, everything has its limits. Sharp faces are attractive, but to an extent (too sharp looks odd). Big eyes are attractive in women, studies have shown, but the same studies shown that there is a point of becoming " too large". This is the same phenomena.

IN nature, if something falls out of three standard deviations, it is abnormal. Do you want an abnormal height? This is the reason why most people I asked would not date a very tall guy (unless he has compensating traits)

I have posted sound arguments. I challenge you to do the same instead of attacking me. Mentally, I am very happy with my decision to go to 182 instead of 183.

Nope, I am using a wheelchair for this week because one part of my frames broke. I will be walking again next week. I am very free now, so please, test me (you seem so free? are you lengthening? or... you don't have a life?  How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?)

Instead of posting remarks from a mental asylum, I suggest you regain your composure and post some facts or valid arguments as I have done earlier.

If you want me to start an opinion poll in a Singapore forum, let me know How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?

As  I have said, it depends. For instance, in my country (official average of 172, I think it is close to 174 instead), the ideal height (avoiding  label of too tall) is 183 cm max. Thus, in America, add 4 cm,the answer is 187 cm.

Read all my posts. Just click on my username.

I have a very strong opinion that lets say, in America, the max height is 187 cm (maybe 185 to 187 cm or thereabouts). If someone is 5'11 as you said (180), I will encourage him (if he wants) to become 187 cm. This is because, 180 is BARELY ABOVE the average of 176 cm (and 178 cm for white young males in USA). He is, essentially, in the same situation as me, barely above the national average.

You have EXTREMELY poor comprehension skills that I am immensely lazy to post scholastic and proper arguments anymore. You just have personal attacks and one infographic. LOL. This is a waste of time, so adieu.  How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?

Also, I have just found out the average of Netherlands (180-184). So I am not short there, after my LL. Caught you again, extremely low IQ. How distorted do u think are the members' worldview of the importance of height?

I already posted data that obliterated yours and was actually relevant to the topic at hand, unlike you just posting random height statistics from random countries in threads about ideal height and such. I'm a very strong believer in watching what women do, instead of listening to what they say. Here's an example of watching what women do, you should try it sometime.
