Hey guys and gals, I just had limb correction surgery because my tibia was externally rotated and my surgeon agreed to give me an extra 3CM. I’m using the Taylor Space Frame. I asked her how long would it take for the bone to heal and to pull the rods post lengthening and she said 3CM would take 3-4 months. Just want to confirm if this is true? I’m a 29 year old Adult Male.

Edit: I’m lengthening at a rate of 0.5mm a day

Thank you

It will need about 4 months, your doctor is right.
