The bend could be coz of multiple reasons:
1. nail being not too rigid- plasticity
2. its a monorail
3. retorgrade nailing? the femurs and the tibias have a slight curve close to the knee. therefore driving the nail along a curve path bending the inital alignment itself. I have seen such issues on inistal distraction to as much as large distractions.
I havent seen a precise 2 or stryde bend, I have seen few other nails bend even on antegrade femur insertion.
How much of a factor could retrograde nailing or doing LON with monorails contribute to the bending?

Now i strongly feel most of the bending happen in retrograde or internal tibias. Although no medical literature that I could find on that.
May this could be opposed if we have had an antegrade femur nailing that has curved. Do we?
