It depends on what starting height we are talking here. This surgery is viewed as very extreme or atleast it sounds so. Also, if a 5'2 or 5'4 guy will tell people that his height is something he wants and can change I doubt that anyone will judge him negatively about it.... Atleast anecdotally speaking (I have spoken with people about this procedur) men and women said to me that men who are like below 165 should consider it. It is viewed, rightly so, as something purely vain when a 170+ guy (like me) wants to do it.

It's like the old saying..."Sex is like oxygen, it only matters if you aren't getting it."  I think that people who are tall or average height view it in that light.  Height...It only matters if you don't have it.
